Proposed changes to the Competition Commission of Singapore’s guidelines: What you need to know

14 Oct 2015

The Competition Commission of Singapore’s (“CCS”) guidelines provide guidance to businesses on how CCS will administer and enforce the Competition Act (Cap. 50B) (“Competition Act”). The proposed revisions cut across a number of CCS’s major guidelines, and propose refinements to amongst other things CCS’s investigative and enforcement processes, the notification process, and CCS’s assessment of mergers under the merger regulation regime.

CCS is seeking public feedback on these proposed changes. The closing date for submission of feedback on the proposed changes to the CCS guidelines is 6 November 2015.

This update sets out the key proposed changes to the CCS guidelines and the impact of these proposed changes on entities doing business in Singapore.
