Cryptocurrency - Is it property?

Cryptocurrency is relatively novel and the applicable legal principles remain unsettled. One fundamental question is whether cryptocurrency constitutes “property”.

There are recent court decisions which suggest that cryptocurrency is property of some kind, and can therefore be dealt with under established legal principles.

This update briefly considers these cases and other unresolved issues.
