International Comparative Legal Guide to Lending & Secured Finance 2025 – Singapore Chapter by Drew & Napier

Co-Heads of Banking & Finance, Pauline Chong and Renu Menon, as well as Co-Head of Corporate Restructuring & Workouts, Blossom Hing, SC, and Head of Tax & Private Client Services, Ong Ken Loon, co-authored the Singapore chapter in the International Comparative Legal Guide to Lending & Secured Finance 2025.

They provided a comprehensive overview of common issues in lending and secured finance laws and regulations in Singapore, with practical insight into guarantees, various forms of collateral security that can be taken over different types of assets and the perfections steps required, syndicated financing and financial assistance issues, as well as withholding, stamp and other taxes applicable to financing transactions, and the judicial enforcement and insolvency regime under Singapore law.
