In this issue, we discuss:

•        the recent amendments to the SIAC arbitration rules; and

•        the development of globalised principles of international arbitration in the Singapore arbitration scene.

Drew & Napier LLC was a joint winner for International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year for this year's Asia Legal Business Southeast Asia Law Awards. This is the third time in seven years that we have won this award.

As part of the reorganisation of SIAC, Cavinder Bull, SC was re-appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIAC, a position he has held for the last two years. He was also appointed as one of two Vice-Presidents of the new SIAC Court. Both appointments are effective from 1 April 2013.
