Gary Low and Victor David Lau contributed to the ICMEC report on “Protecting children against sexual offences in ASEAN Member States” 08 Feb 2023 Gary Low, Co-Head of Criminal Law Practice, and Senior Associate Victor David Lau contributed to the International Centre For Missing & Exploited Children’s (ICMEC) report on “Protecting children against sexual offences in ASEAN Member States”. The report was published on 2 February 2023. The report details the current legal frameworks for the protection of children against sexual exploitation and abuse across ASEAN Member States. It provides a comparative overview and analysis of the legislative frameworks across ASEAN, and summarises the relevant legislation and identifies gaps and issues within each framework. Drew & Napier, as the local law firm located in Singapore, prepared the report as a pro bono initiative in collaboration with ICMEC, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and other local law firms in each relevant jurisdiction.
