"IP concerns during COVID-19: some thoughts for businesses" – watch our video in collaboration with IP Week @ SG 2020

21 Aug 2020

In lieu of the annual IP Week @ SG conference, Drew & Napier has been invited by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) to contribute exciting digital content. This marks the first time IP Week @ SG goes fully digital. The video titled “IP concerns during COVID-19: some thoughts for businesses” stars our IP Directors Tony Yeo, Yvonne Tang, Lim Siau Wen, and Meryl Koh, is now available for viewing here.

Watch them shed light on the key considerations businesses, large and small, should take note of when shifting their operations from a traditional brick-and-mortar set up to the digital space. These include issues such as avoiding copyright infringement, revisiting and reconsidering your existing trade mark portfolio and monitoring digital content, as well as patenting new inventions in a fast moving digital landscape.

IP Week @ SG 2020 runs from 25 to 27 August 2020 and this year’s edition has a special focus on COVID-19. IPOS will be hosting a series of live webinars to highlight how IP can be protected and monetised in the ‘new normal’, as well as share inspiring stories of how IP helped expedite innovation in a time of crisis. Drew & Napier is proud to be a Participating Organisation of IP Week @ SG 2020.
