Drew & Napier signs Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge

07 Oct 2020

In September 2020, Drew & Napier became a signatory of the Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge. We are committed to improve the profile and representation of women in arbitration and to ensure that women are appointed as arbitrators on an equal opportunity basis.

About the Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge
In recognition of the under-representation of women on international arbitral tribunals, the ERA Pledge was launched in 2016. The Pledge seeks to increase, on an equal opportunity basis, the number of women appointed as arbitrators in order to achieve a fair representation as soon practically possible, with the ultimate goal of full parity. The Pledge was the result of a collaborative effort between global representatives of corporate entities, states, arbitral institutions, arbitration practitioners – both counsel and arbitrators, and academics, drawn together by a Steering Committee in 2015. To date, 4,367 individuals and organisations around the world have taken the ERA Pledge.
