Drew & Napier awarded two top industry honours

Drew & Napier has been awarded two of the industry's top honours. CEO Davinder Singh SC was the only litigator in the country to be named an External Counsel of Choice by Asian-MENA Counsel. Drew & Napier was also named the top Employer of Choice by Asian Legal Business magazine (ALB).
Only five lawyers in Singapore were awarded the title of External Counsel of the Year. Of the five, Mr Singh is the only litigator.

Drew has also once again emerged as the top Employer of Choice amongst local and foreign law firms in Singapore. This is the third time in five years that Drew clinched top spot since the awards were introduced by leading legal industry publication ALB in 2008. The results were published in the June issue of ALB.
Drew & Napier recruitment director Kelvin Tan highlighted that Drew is very people-focused and the management is committed to providing ample training to develop its staff as both lawyers and individuals. Kelvin said, "We work as a team and when you join us, you are joining a family."
Senior lawyers are dedicated to grooming the next generation. Kelvin added, "From the outset, Drew is very selective of the people we hire. We see it as our duty to invest to ensure that our people will succeed and have a lasting career here."

These latest wins come just after Drew & Napier was named the Singapore Law Firm of the Year by respected legal journal Chambers Asia-Pacific.
Methodology
Asian-MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Counsel's "External Counsel of the Year 2012" results are based entirely on votes and testimonials of in-house counsel who took part in the Representing Corporate Asia & Middle East In-House Community Survey 2011.
The survey was sent to over 18,000 in-house lawyers and senior company directors in 11 countries from the Asia Pacific and Middle East. Respondents were asked, "Who do you consider the outstanding private practice lawyers in your jurisdiction and why?"
Asian Legal Business Employer of Choice is also determined by results of a survey of the firm's employees. Law firms from 9 countries in the Asia-Pacific region were assessed on their employees' responses to key areas such as work-life balance, remuneration, promotion prospects and IT support.
