5 Drew lawyers recognised in ALB’s inaugural Singapore Rising Stars 2022 list

We’re proud to announce that Asian Legal Business (ALB) has recognised Directors Meryl Koh, Renu Menon, Paras Lalwani, Allister Tan and Alexander Lee in its inaugural Singapore Rising Stars 2022 list, making Drew the law firm with the most number of lawyers named.

The list celebrates the next generation of Singapore’s lawyers who have demonstrated great potential in the industry while earning wide acclaim from their clients. Nominees were selected through a meticulous process based on their quality of work and recommendations from their clients and colleagues.

Meryl was described as “simply first rate” and that “she makes it a point to acquire complete mastery of the case, including the evidence, arguments and the law, no matter how complex the matter is. That and her boundless energy and enthusiasm point to a very bright future for her in advocacy”.

Renu received high praise from a client, describing her as “professional and highly competent yet amicable and personable in her interaction”, “dedicated to her work”, and having “solid knowledge of the subject matter and superb attention to the deadlines”.

A client found Paras “to be intelligent, sophisticated and overall an excellent lawyer.” He “is innovative yet practical, and gave sound, strategic advice which proved to be invaluable”.

Clients commended Allister for his “brilliant legal mind” and for being “an extremely persuasive advocate”. He is also described as “not only an excellent legal advisor but also a savvy negotiator with a good understanding of both commercial as well as insurance requirements”.

Alexander was complimented to be “pragmatic, commercially-savvy and solution-oriented”, and “one of the most dedicated and efficient lawyers. He can be counted on to keep a cool head in any situation”.
