Drew & Napier honoured as a ‘Regional and Specialist’ firm by India Business Law Journal for the 12th year
05 Aug 2026
We are delighted to share that Drew & Napier has once again been honoured as a ‘Regional and Specialist’ firm for India-related work by India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) in its annual report published in July 2026. This marks our 12th year in the category, reflecting our multi-jurisdictional expertise, extensive experience in India-related work, and longstanding relationships within the Indian legal community.
The report highlighted Drew & Napier’s diverse range of mandates for Indian entities, including advising Dystar Global on the USD702 million exit of Kiri Industries and acting in a USD300 million Singapore-seated arbitration against Byju’s Investments.
Reflecting the firm's strength in handling such complex matters, Drew & Napier continues to earn high praise from clients, with one describing the firm as “the firm you go to for highly complex technical matters when the requirement is to think outside the box and get creative” while also commending its “formidable team for dispute resolution services.”
The report also highlighted CEO Cavinder Bull, SC and Directors Mahesh Rai and Abhinav Bhushan as highly respected practitioners. This follows the inclusion of Directors Mahesh Rai, Jon Nair and Abhinav Bhushan in IBLJ’s International A-List 2026 earlier this April, which recognises leading international lawyers for India-related matters.
Now in its 20th edition, the annual IBLJ report is the result of rigorous research into the work of over 600 law firms worldwide that have handled India-related transactions or disputes in the past year. The report draws on detailed analysis, editorial research, and in-depth feedback from in-house counsel and Indian law firms.
