VCA Publishes Recommendations For Overhauling Competition Law Regime in Vietnam

The Competition Law & Regulatory team provides a summary of a report released by the Vietnam Competition Authority in October 2012, based on its study of Vietnam's current competition law regime.

The study, conducted in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), was carried out with the intention of aligning the country’s competition law to international standards and included recommendations for amendments to the law. However, the VCA has not announced a definitive time table or definitive steps in terms of how it intends to follow up on the results of the report.
