PDPC issues Public Consultation and updates to Guides

On 22 May 2019, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) issued a Public Consultation on Data Portability and Data Innovation Provisions, as part of its review of the Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012). In addition, the PDPC issued a Guide on Active Enforcement and updated its Guide to Managing Data Breaches by issuing a Guide to Managing Data Breaches 2.0. We highlight the key points and initiatives introduced by the PDPC in this legal update.
