Novel Foods: Updates on safety assessments

The Singapore Food Agency (“SFA”) has released its latest version dated 26 September 2022 on the “Requirements for Safety Assessment of Novel Foods and Novel Food Ingredients”.
In this update, Director Tay Eu-Yan discusses the key refinements which reflect a deeper understanding by SFA of the cell-culture process and the regulations needed to promote safe commercialization.
