Malaysia’s Competition Law Strategic Direction for 2012 14 Feb 2012 In a speech on 19 January 2012, the Chairman of Malaysia’s Competition Commission (“MyCC”), Tan Sri Dato' Seri Siti Norma Yaakob, outlined the strategic direction which will be taken by the MyCC for 2012. In respect of enforcement, Tan Sri Siti Norma Yaakob emphasised that there will be no deferment on the implementation of the Competition Act 2010 given that businesses were already given an 18-month period since the passing of the law to bring their houses in order.
