Director Grace Chong together with Senior Associate Bryan Ong, co-authored the Singapore chapter of Global State of Regulations in Blockchain Gaming Report 2026, where their expert insights provided clarity on the rules and regulatory framework of the local blockchain gaming industry. The Singapore chapter also highlights key regulations under the Payment Services Act 2019 and Securities and Futures Act 2001, explaining how in-game assets can be classified as digital payment tokens, capital markets products, or even gambling equivalents, depending on their use.
This Report is a jurisdiction-by-junction breakdown of where the rules are right now, outlining asset classification, gambling thresholds, ownership vs. IP, consumer protections and AI + Web3 convergence. This Report was launched at Consensus Hong Kong this week.
