Drew & Napier’s Data Protection and Privacy Practice Group is pleased to present our new Data Protection Mid-Year Update.
 
In this special bumper issue, we highlight key takeaways from the enforcement decisions issued by the PDPC between April 2018 and June 2019, and the PDPC’s latest publications, including the Advisory Guidelines on the Personal Data Protection Act for NRIC and other National Identification Numbers. We also examine some of the most significant developments in the year since the EU GDPR came into effect, as well as the emergence of new regulatory instruments and frameworks in ASEAN, Hong Kong, Canada, and the United States with the introduction of the California Consumer Privacy Act.
