Overview

Emma advises her clients on a broad range of matters including trust structuring, private trust company establishment, single family offices and the relevant tax incentives, family governance, and bespoke wills.

As part of the client’s overall estate and succession planning, Emma also advises on tax, regulatory, and governance considerations of wealth structuring.

The matters that Emma has handled include:
  • Ongoing advice to a prominent South Asian UHNW individual on the restructuring of his worldwide assets and the establishment of a family office, family trusts, s13U fund, and offshore private label funds to acquire, hold and manage such assets for succession purposes. In addition, assisted the client’s children in their permanent resident application under the Global Investor Programme.
  • Advised a prominent Singapore family on their family trusts, global wills, and lasting powers of attorney for two generations of the family.
  • Advised a leading Singapore business family in the establishment of a private trust company, drafting of a family constitution, and the settlement of the listed shares of their family business into a family trust for succession purposes.
  • Assisted a Japanese UHNW individual on the establishment of Singapore holding structures and the transfer of assets into a Luxembourg Foundation.
  • Advised an Indonesian businessman on estate matters, application for Singapore citizenship, and application for approval to hold Singapore residential property.
