Director Rakesh Kirpalani commented on cybersecurity laws in Asialaw Profiles article

Director Rakesh Kirpalani was quoted in an article by Asialaw Profiles on cybersecurity laws, an issue that has become a global concern due to the recent WannaCry ransomware attacks.

Amendments made to Singapore’s Computer Misuse and Cyber Security Act in April will make it an offence for one to buy and sell data with malicious intent.

Rakesh commented that “businesses should be more vigilant with staff who deal with personal data” and he also recommended training programmes and reporting procedures for these staff.
