Yvonne Tang named as one of Asia’s Top 15 Female Lawyers by Asian Legal Business 28 Aug 2023 We are pleased to announce that Director Yvonne Tang has been named as one of Asia’s Top 15 Female Lawyers 2023 by Asian Legal Business (ALB). Yvonne is one of two Singapore lawyers to make it to this list this year. This list highlights the achievements of leading female lawyers across Asia who have consistently delivered high-quality work and set high standards in their respective legal space, while earning accolades from their colleagues, superiors and clients. ALB drew information from the nominations provided, interviews, editorial resources, and market feedback. A total of 79 nominations were received from eleven countries across the region, namely Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lebanon (Qatar), Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. In an exclusive interview with ALB, Yvonne shared her thoughts on advocating for gender equality and empowering fellow women in the legal sphere. She also offered some advice to aspiring female lawyers. “The legal profession can be a tough and gruelling one. However, never give up, or lose your passion, or let anyone tell you that, as a woman, you are less capable, or will not succeed. We all encounter positive influences throughout our lives. As a beneficiary myself, I know that a supportive firm culture and environment makes all the difference to one’s legal career. Whenever the opportunity arises, pay it forward.
