Senior Counsel Cavinder Bull appointed Vice-President of Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group

Senior Counsel Cavinder Bull has been appointed Vice-President of the Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group (APRAG). As Vice-President of the APRAG, Cavinder will work with the various members of APRAG to promote international arbitration in the region.

Established in 2004, APRAG is a regional federation of arbitration associations which aims to improve standards and knowledge of international arbitration and represent the Asia Pacific region in submissions to national and international organisations. Comprising members from about 30 arbitration centres and associations, APRAG encourages a unique co-operation amongst members and is a reflection of the increasing importance of international arbitration in Asia and Australasia, some of the fastest growing economic regions in the world. Cavinder is a director of the Dispute Resolution department with Drew & Napier and is recognised as a first-rate lawyer, both in litigation and international arbitration, by authoritative legal profession publications such as Chambers Global, Chambers Asia, Asia Pacific Legal 500 and Asian Legal Business. He graduated with First Class Honours in law from Oxford University and later received a Masters in Law from Harvard Law School which he attended on a Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship. Cavinder is called to the Bars of Singapore, England & Wales and New York. He was appointed a senior counsel in 2008 and is actively engaged in international arbitrations as well as in corporate and commercial litigation.

Cavinder is also Deputy Chairman of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
