Head of Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT), Lim Chong Kin and Chief Technology Officer, Rakesh Kirpalani chosen as ALB’s Asia Super 50 TMT Lawyers for 2 consecutive years

We are delighted to announce that Lim Chong Kin, Head of Telecommunications, Media & Technology Practice, and Rakesh Kirpalani, Chief Technology Officer, have been recognised as Asia Super 50 TMT Lawyers by Asian Legal Business (ALB) for the 2nd consecutive year.
They were chosen to appear in ALB’s annual list of 50 outstanding lawyers in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications space in Asia based on client feedback. Lawyers were chosen based on the quantity and quality of the recommendations received, as well as the profile of the clients recommending the lawyers.
Chong Kin’s core expertise is in telecommunications, media and technology, having played a key role in liberalizing the telecoms and media markets in Singapore. He is also a pioneer in data protection and cybersecurity laws, having assisted in the set-up of Singapore’s data protection framework. He represents a Who’s Who list of the top technology clients on their business operations and commercial transactions in ASEAN.
Appointed as Chief Technology Officer of Drew & Napier at the age of 38, Rakesh leads the Dispute Resolution & Information Technology practice. He is engaged in appellate and trial advocacy at all levels of the Singapore Courts and arbitral institutions. He has been described as a ‘fantastic litigator’ in the realm of technology and intellectual property as he uses his extensive IT skills to simplify legal and technological issues for decision makers.
Chong Kin received plaudits from one of his clients for “his long and dependable track record (that) is second to none. He is creative in advancing his clients’ position by striking a balance between regulatory requirements and supporting client’s business imperatives, treating matters not only expeditiously but judiciously.” Chong Kin was also recently recognised as one of Asia’s Top 15 TMT Lawyers by ALB for the 2nd consecutive year.
