Drew was awarded the “Legal Aid Bureau Best Contribution from Law Firm Award (Large Firm – Silver Award)” at the recent Ministry of Law’s Appreciation Dinner 2012 held on 18thOctober, 2012. We were the only law firm to receive an award in the ‘Large-Firm’ category.

The award recognises law firms that made invaluable contributions by supporting and partnering LAB in the area of legal aid. In total, 15 of Drew’s lawyers are assigned solicitors with LAB.

About Drew’s Pro Bono Department

Drew lawyers involved with the Pro Bono Department dedicate a minimum of 50 hours to Pro Bono work yearly. Other Drew lawyers regularly commit 25 hours or more per year. We have worked with the Law Society’s Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, Community Legal Clinic, Legal Aid Bureau and various charities. We have acted for accused persons who cannot afford legal representation, volunteered to provide free legal advice at the legal clinics, assisted in registration of charities and assisted various charities with agreements.
