Drew & Napier wins TMT Deal of the Year at 2019 Asia Legal Awards

Drew & Napier won the TMT Deal of the Year award at the 2019 Asia Legal Awards. The award ceremony was held last evening at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong.

The deal involving Walmart’s acquisition of Flipkart was led by Deputy CEO and co-head of Drew & Napier’s Corporate Restructuring & Workouts practice group Sushil Nair, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions Steven Lo, Directors Jon Nair and Renu Menon, and Associate Director Mohan Gopalan. The high-profile transactions in this deal are among the largest private equity M&A transactions in India and Singapore in recent years and represent a successful exit by the Softbank Vision Fund of its investment.
