Singapore Convention on Mediation Bill

The Singapore Convention on Mediation Bill was introduced in Parliament on 6 January 2020. This Bill seeks to give effect to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (also known as the Singapore Convention on Mediation) opened for signature on 7 August 2019 in Singapore.

This article discusses the differences between the Mediation Act 2017 and the Singapore Convention on Mediation Bill, and suggests when one regime may be more appropriate than the other.
