Drew & Napier bags two awards at the Asialaw Awards 2023

We are pleased to announce that Drew & Napier bagged two awards at the Asialaw Awards 2023 held at Marina Bay Sands on 26 September 2023. They are:

• Client Choice Awards – Singapore Firm of the Year
• Editor’s Choice – Impact Deal and Case of the Year: Riot games v NetEase Interactive Entertainment

The Client Choice Awards are exclusively presented to law firms based on objective client feedback and survey data collected by the team, highlighting impressive client service and leading practitioners. This is a testament to the firm’s client-centric focus in its approach to servicing clients.

The Riot games v NetEase Interactive Entertainment matter was singled out for the Editor’s Choice Awards for its national and regional impact. Director Meryl Koh and her team, including Senior Associate Justin Lai are lead counsel acting for Riot Games Inc and Riot Games Services Pte Ltd in the Singapore International Commercial Court in respect of disputes against a US & HK listed Chinese video game developer and publisher, NetEase Group, concerning copyright infringements and the passing off of Riot’s world-renowned first-person shooter video game Valorant, with 20+ million players over 30 days, about 2 million active players a day and is also the game that is played in international professional esports leagues.
