This seminar is in collaboration with INSOL International and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), in conjunction with the Singapore Convention Week 2026.

This panel will examine the practical challenges arising at the intersection of arbitration and insolvency in cross-border restructurings. The discussion will cover jurisdiction and the arbitrability of insolvency-related claims, the effect of moratoria on the commencement and continuation of arbitral proceedings, enforcement of awards against financially distressed parties, asset recovery and creditor rights. The panel will also consider the diverging approaches taken by common law and civil law jurisdictions to the arbitration–insolvency interface, and the practical implications of institutional initiatives such as the SIAC Restructuring and Insolvency Arbitration Protocol.
