Modern AI can be very powerful, but without the right hardware, most of it would quickly grind to a halt and become useless. It is rather common to read that the key drivers behind the recent explosion in AI include the convergence of massive data availability (often wrongly dubbed Big Data), massive increases in computing power and breakthroughs in deep learning algorithms. But why is this computing power so important and where does it come from?

In our sixth and final webinar of the SDF series, you will learn what differentiates a CPU from a GPU and from a TPU and how they perform the rather basic AI calculations at a low, high and super-massive scale. After this, you will also better understand why your office computer most likely cannot run large AI models (and thus needs cloud-based AI), which is a critical consideration when deploying AI securely for confidential or personal data in your organisation.
