Security Threat Modelling - General Principles and STRIDE as an Example

04 May 2023

Security Threat Modelling aims to establish a structured review of the security of a (future) system for the purpose of threat identification, comprehension, and communication, while supporting risk assessment and possibly mitigation planning of effective control measures. STRIDE is one long-known approach to manage this quite involved process. In this webinar, we will provide a general overview for non-technical audience what security threat modelling is, and briefly introduce STRIDE, so that the audience can appreciate its contribution to and difference versus a DPIA, privacy threat modelling, and other risk assessment approaches.
