ASEAN Competition Law

Drew & Napier’s Competition Law & Regulatory Practice is the pioneer in Singapore and ASEAN competition law. The Practice is actively assisting clients with regional competition law requirements and is widely recognised for its competition law expertise.

The Practice has valuable insight into the experiences of competition regulatory bodies and agencies within the ASEAN member countries. In 2008, the Practice led a consortium commissioned to study best practices in the introduction and implementation of competition policy and law for ASEAN, and make recommendations for a proposed work programme to enhance regional cooperation efforts.

We assist for clients on matters ranging from the preparation of the relevant filings and representations to the respective competition authorities, to conducting regional compliance programmes to limit our clients' current and ongoing exposure to competition law risks. We also offer our clients a one-stop shop service as coordinating counsel for competition law advisory in ASEAN. We leverage on our network of trusted partners in ASEAN to select appropriate local counsel, and work closely with them to find solutions that best meet our clients' business needs.
