Drew bags most awards among Singapore firms at ALB Southeast Asia Law Awards 2023

It is our honour to share that Drew & Napier won 8 awards at the ALB Southeast Asia (SEA) Law Awards 2023 held last night, the most of any Singapore firm. We won 2 individual and 6 practice awards.
Our CEO Cavinder Bull, SC adds another feather to his cap with his third win of the title of South East Asia Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year, in recognition of his craft as a litigator and arbitrator. He has also consistently been ranked by Chambers Asia Pacific as a Band 1 lawyer for both litigation and arbitration for more than a decade.
Cavinder was also crowned Managing Partner of the Year (Singapore) for the third time, since he took over the role of Drew & Napier’s CEO a few years ago.
We also demonstrate our unquestionable strength in Disputes once again, by bagging the Singapore Litigation Law Firm of the Year award for the 17th time. Our Disputes lawyers are regularly appointed to handle the most complex matters in a range of industries and have acted for major financial institutions and multinational, construction, and energy companies.
Our Intellectual Property (IP) practice was also named for the third time the Singapore Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year. The practice is the largest leading IP practice in Singapore, along with an established presence in Southeast Asia through our Drewmarks IP filing offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Myanmar.
In a similar vein, we scored a hat trick with our third consecutive win of the SEA Matrimonial and Family Law Firm of the Year title since 2021. We are experienced in handling delicate private wealth, family and interpersonal matters, often involving multiple parties, different jurisdictions, conflicting national laws, substantial stakes and interests.
The firm also clinched the SEA Restructuring and Insolvency Law Firm of the Year award. On top of being one of the largest dedicated restructuring practices in the country with over thirty lawyers, our Corporate Restructuring & Workouts practice has a longstanding reputation of being a Tier 1 practice.
The SEA Tax and Trusts Law Firm of the Year award went to our Tax & Private Client Services Practice. The practice is the broadest full spectrum tax law advisory team in Singapore, encompassing tax litigation, corporate tax advisory, enterprise tax risk management. They also advise and assist on private wealth planning, preservation and succession through structures such as family trusts and family offices.
We have also been named the SEA Medical and Healthcare Law Firm of the Year. We provide sound and practical advice to support clients in their various stages of development in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Our practice draws on our experience and close network of specialist regional lawyers.
The annual ALB SE Asia Law Awards, now in its 19th year, recognises the exceptional performance of private practitioners and in-house counsel in SE Asia and throughout the region. The winners were decided following rigorous assessments by an independent judging panel of senior and expert legal industry leaders from various sectors corresponding to the diverse list of award categories.
