Drew & Napier is named Singapore Firm of the Year at the Asialaw Regional Awards 2019

Drew & Napier was named Singapore Firm of the Year at the Asialaw Regional Awards 2019 on 30 May. The firm also won two deal awards.
The firm outshone five other nominees to win the Singapore Firm of the Year award due to our outstanding accomplishments in advising clients on Singapore law matters across a range of practice areas.
Drew also bagged two “Editor’s Choice Awards” for acting in the consortium acquisition of Singapore’s Global Logistic Properties, and the Walmart acquisition of Flipkart.
The two deals were honoured by Asialaw for their national and regional impact in 2018.
The consortium acquisition of Singapore’s Global Logistic Properties was led by Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Steven Lo, together with Director Tan Teng Sen, Associate Director Seraphina Ho and Associate Charles Guo. This transaction is Asia's largest private equity buyout and one of the more significant public M&A transactions in Singapore in recent times. The deal was also named M&A Deal of the Year (Premium) at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2018, as well as the M&A Deal of the Year: Southeast Asia at the 2018 Asia Legal Awards.
The Walmart acquisition of Flipkart was led by Drew & Napier’s Deputy CEO and co-head of Corporate Restructuring & Workouts Sushil Nair, Head of M&A Steven Lo, and Directors Jon Nair, Renu Menon, and Mohan Gopalan. This high-profile transaction is among the largest private equity M&A transactions in India and Singapore in recent years and represents a successful exit by the Softbank Vision Fund of its investment. The deal was also named TMT Deal of the Year at the 2019 Asia Legal Awards.
