We are delighted to share that our firm bagged eight awards at the annual Asian Legal Business (ALB) SE Asia Law Awards 2021 that took place virtually tonight.

Our CEO Cavinder Bull SC was singled out as Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year in recognition of his involvement in ground-breaking matters and his standing as a formidable practitioner.  This is the second year Cavinder received this coveted title.

Our Director Julian Kwek, Co-head of our Corporate Restructuring & Workouts practice and Indonesia Desk, also picked up the Dealmaker of the Year award for his expert knowledge in deal making across various deal types, while our Director Foo Yuet Min took home the Young Lawyer of the Year award, which is presented to a young practitioner who has shown great accomplishments at work and in the wider community.

In the firm categories, we were crowned Singapore Litigation Law Firm of the Year and Regional Litigation Law Firm of the Year for the 16th and 4th year respectively. The firm was also named International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year for the 6th year.  This triple victory confirms Drew’s standing as an indomitable force in Dispute Resolution in Singapore and the region.

The firm also won the Private Wealth Law Firm of the Year award, beating five other shortlisted finalists. The win announces Drew as one of the leading Private Wealth Law firms in Southeast Asia.

Separately, we also bagged the Matrimonial and Family Law Firm of the Year award for handling some of the most complex, cross-border and intricate matrimonial and family law matters.

Drew & Napier’s CEO, Cavinder Bull SC said: “We are honoured to accept these awards from the ALB. It is clear recognition of the tremendous effort put in by every individual in Drew & Napier to work for the best interests of our clients. Our clients trust us with their most complex matters and we will not let them down.”

Now in its 17th year, the annual ALB SE Asia Law Awards pays tribute to the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house teams that have significantly contributed to the evolving legal landscape of the region. The winners were decided after rigorous assessments by an independent panel of more than 25 senior and expert legal industry leaders from the legal academe, in-house teams, law firms, legal associations, and non-profit organisations in Southeast Asia. The 2021 awards ceremony was presented virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 endemic.
