Round-up of recent Employment Law updates

We discuss four recent developments in Singapore’s employment landscape, namely:
(a)  amendments to the Employment Act (Cap. 91);
(b)  amendments to the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Passes) Regulations 2012;
(c)  the issuance of the Tripartite Guidelines on Wrongful Dismissal; and
(d)  the District Court decision of Public Prosecutor v Jurong Country Club [2018] SGDC 314, which discusses the employee/independent contractor test.
