Managing Director of Intellectual Property Tony Yeo named one of Asia’s Top 15 IP Lawyers by Asian Legal Business

We are pleased to announce that Managing Director of Intellectual Property (IP) Tony Yeo is recognised as one of the Top 15 IP Lawyers in Asia by Asian Legal Business (ALB). Tony is one of two Singapore lawyers to make it to this inaugural list.

The list highlights the achievements of leading IP lawyers across Asia who have consistently delivered high-quality IP work, set high standards in the IP space, while earning accolades from their colleagues, superiors and clients. ALB’s research team evaluated lawyers based on the following criteria: significant IP matters throughout the candidate’s career and in the last 18 months; key and new clients attained; accolades and awards won; and client recommendations. More than 60 submissions from 10 jurisdictions were received by ALB.

This recognition reinforces Tony’s stature as a market-leading IP lawyer. He also has been consistently recognised by prestigious legal publications such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, Managing Intellectual Property and asialaw Leading Lawyers.

In an exclusive interview with ALB, Tony shared his thoughts on the most important attributes of a successful IP lawyer and also dispensed some advice to aspiring young IP lawyers. On the topic of evolving clients’ needs, Tony commented that clients have become more demanding and yet more accommodating at the same time. “As clients continue to expect faster and better services, they have also become more understanding as everyone has shared the experience of tremendous challenges in the last two years”, he elaborated.
