18 Oct 2021

We are delighted to share that Head of Tax & Private Client Services, Ong Ken Loon is named one of Asia’s Top 15 Female Lawyers by Asian Legal Business (ALB) in its Asia’s Top 15 Female Lawyers list, and Director Amy Tan is identified as one Asia’s most outstanding young lawyers in ALB’s Asia 40 under 40 2021 list.

Ken Loon is one of only three female lawyers based in Singapore to make it to the inaugural Asia’s Top 15 Female Lawyers list. The list honours leading female lawyers in Asia who have continuously made their mark in the legal market despite the disruptions by the ongoing COVID-19 endemic. Ken Loon was selected for consistently delivering high-quality work and setting high standards in the tax legal space, while also earning praise from her colleagues, superiors and clients. In the latest 2021 edition of Chambers Asia-Pacific, a client commended Ken Loon for being "very practical, very smart and absolutely amazing.”

Amy clinched a spot in ALB’s Asia 40 under 40 2021 list for her involvement in a wide range of litigation and international commercial arbitration work, which showcased her potential as a talented young lawyer, and earned her many recommendations from her clients and colleagues. Now in its seventh year, the list had over 400 entries, and it profiles 40 of the most accomplished lawyers across Asia (except mainland China and Australia / New Zealand) under 40 years of age. A client praised Amy, saying that her “integrity and character are both of the highest standard and she will not be swayed into taking short cuts or the easy road.”
