I chose Drew because it was renowned for its litigation work. I had the privilege of having Joseph Grimberg as my pupil master. He was the finest in the field.

Pupillage was an eye-opener. I found a whole new challenging world. It was completely different from law school, and the transition from hypotheticals to real life issues was fascinating.

Pupillage was exhilarating. There were new challenges every day, all of them fresh and exciting. Drew was involved in most of the high profile and major cases. As pupils, we were thrown into the deep end. The seniors were never selfish about sharing their work, cases and clients.

But above everything else, I was allowed to make mistakes and learn from them.

Pupillage in Drew retains the essence of what I enjoyed when I was a pupil. But it has also evolved. We understand that it is important for the pupils to be guided. This accounts for our Mentor scheme which gives our pupils the benefit of the experience not only of their masters but also of less senior lawyers to whom the pupils can relate on a personal basis. Equally important is the feedback of the pupils, which we take them very seriously. As pupils learn from us, we learn from them and apply the acquired knowledge to future programmes.
