24 April 2008 – On 24 April 2008, Resorts World at Sentosa Pte. Ltd. (“RWSentosa” or “Company”) announced the completion of the syndication of up to $4.1925 billion Syndicated Senior Secured Credit Facilities, comprising $4 billion worth of term and revolving loan facilities and a $192.5 million banker’s guarantee facility, to be utilised in connection with the construction and development by the Company of a world-class integrated resort on Singapore’s Sentosa Island.
Drew & Napier is acting as Counsel for the Company in this financing deal, one of the biggest ever undertaken in the history of Singapore.
A total of 10 banks participated in the syndication which is underwritten and bookran by five local and international banking powerhouses namely DBS Bank Ltd, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. The expanded mandated lead arrangers are Malayan Banking Berhad, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd, Singapore Branch, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, Singapore Branch, CIMB Bank Berhad, Singapore Branch, BNP Singapore Branch, Calyon, Commerzbank AG, Singapore Branch and National Australia Bank Limited, Singapore Branch. The Singapore branches of DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank and JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. joined as Arrangers.

The Genting group is a leading resort development specialist with over 20 years of international gaming expertise and global experience in developing, operating and/or marketing internationally acclaimed casinos and integrated resorts in different parts of the world. When RWSentosa opens its iconic integrated family resort at Singapore’s Sentosa Island, it is expected to house the region’s first Universal Studios theme park and six world-class hotels providing 1,800 rooms.
