ESTABLISHMENT OF RAFFLES FUND 1 LIMITED - Drew & Napier LLC as counsel to the FUND manager


21 October 2008 ¨C Drew & Napier LLC (¡°Drew¡±) acted as counsel to the setting up the venture fund, Raffles Fund 1 Limited. Drew assisted the fund managers, Raffles Venture Partners Pte Ltd (¡°RVP¡±) with both onshore and offshore establishment and tax advisory requirements of the Raffles Fund 1 Limited.  

After its inception, RVP was one of the 6 fund managers selected to the Early Stage Venture Funding scheme by the National Research Foundation (¡°NRF¡±) whereby NRF will invest S$10 million in each of the selected venture capitals who are required to raise a matching sum of at least S$10 million from third-party investors to invest in locally-based start-ups.   

The Drew team was led by Mr Petrus Huang, Director.
