About Ian

Ian is a Director in Drew & Napier LLC’s Intellectual Property Department. He joined Drew & Napier in 2001 as a Legal Assistant.

Areas of Practice

Ian's main area of practice is in contentious and non-contentious Intellectual Property matters. He specialises in pre and post trade mark registration matters including oppositions, revocation and invalidation actions, trade mark infringement and passing off cases.

Experience

Ian has extensive experience in contentious and non-contentious Intellectual Property matters, representing major international and local corporations. Some of the matters he has been involved in include:

  • Trademark infringement and enforcement actions including criminal raids involving counterfeit fashion products of well-known brands.
  • Brand enforcement for major international and local corporations involving trademark infringement, copyright infringement, infringement of registered designs, passing off, domain and business name disputes.
