About Douglas
Prior to joining Drew & Napier, Douglas was a Partner in a boutique law firm, advising investors from Singapore, Malaysia and other countries on corporate finance and legal issues involving their investments in China. Aside from building his area of practice, he has also accumulated wealth of managerial experience in companies.
Douglas is effectively bilingual and was the Chairman and President of the Guangdong Chapter of Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China from 2005 till 2008. Douglas is also a key member of Drew & Napier’s China Practice Group.

- Acting for Singapore listed China Printing & Dyeing Holding Limited in a takeover deal
- Acting for Germanischer Lloyd in the acquisition of International Refinery Services
- Acting for Singapore listed Metax Engineering Corporation Limited in their rights issue
- Acting for a Singapore buyer in its acquisition of an edible oil factory in Guangxi
- Acting for a Malaysian hotelier in its acquisition of a hotel in Guangdong and a management company in Shanghai
