About Bernette

Bernette is a Director in the Dispute Resolution Department in Mr Harpreet Singh Nehal SC's team, where she started as a pupil. Besides Drew, she has also worked in a medium-sized law firm, where she was involved in banking litigation.

Areas of Practice

Bernette practises as an advocate, essentially on Civil and Commercial litigation matters

Experience

Some of the matters Bernette has been involved in include:

• Cases involving the contentious interpretation of terms in contracts, including a shareholder agreement, settlement agreements and a distributorship agreement, misrepresentation and repudiation
• Representing local companies in recovering debts pertaining to the supply of goods
• Representing a local bank in recovering debts incurred under its unsecured facilities
• Advising on general landlord – tenant matters.
