Dispute Resolution
- Acting in a multi-million dollar dispute between joint-venture partners governed by ICC Rules, involving State Electricity Boards in India.
- Acting for a Singapore listed company in respect of a S$18 million fraud perpetrated by its Chief Financial Officer in its subsidiary in India.
- Acted as lead counsel and successfully defended a Singapore based individual against a claim by an Indian bank to enforce a US$11 million claim.
Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT)
- Advising a major US entertainment network on corporate restructuring of its operations in South East Asia and India.
- Advised on regulatory issues pursuant to the amalgamation of Flag Telecom with the Reliance Group (now Reliance ADA Group).
Corporate Finance
- Advised on a multi-jurisdictional restructuring of a private equity fund based in India.
- Acting for several government-linked companies investing into India.
- Advising several venture capital groups injecting capital into Indian entities.
- Acted for Idea Cellular, a leading Indian mobile network operator in financing its greenfield and brownfield projects using a variety of instruments.
Corporate and Commercial
- Advised Changi Airport Managers & Partners (Singapore) in its bid for the modernisation and restructuring of the Delhi and Mumbai airports.
- Assisted CrimsonLogic in their participation in large-scale nationwide IT infrastructure tenders issued by various governments, including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Mauritius, Australia, Hong Kong and India.
- Assisted a major Asian hospitality group in tenders to set up hotels in several Indian cities.
Insolvency
- Acted for Asia Pulp & Paper in one of the largest debt restructurings ever to take place in Asia involving more than 150 companies in various jurisdictions worldwide, including China, India, Indonesia and Singapore.
- Advised the Thakral Group, consisting of more than 200 companies worldwide, including the listed vehicle in India, in a restructuring exercise of its borrowings amounting to US$450 million.
