Dispute Resolution

Associate / Senior Associate (Commercial and Civil Disputes)

You will be part of a dynamic team of disputes lawyers handling commercial litigation, arbitration and investigation matters. The team also handles medical disciplinary cases. As a closely-knit team, we take an active interest in mentoring young lawyers and developing them to their full potential. There will be opportunities to work directly with the team leader. Requirements:
  • Must be a Singapore qualified lawyer
  • NQ to 5 years PQE, preferably with relevant experience in dispute resolution
  • Good drafting, communication, research, and advocacy skills
  • A good team player who can also work independently
Associate / Senior Associate (Commercial and Civil Disputes)

You will work with directors experienced across a wide range of practice areas including complex civil and commercial litigation, banking and finance disputes, criminal litigation, and investigations, as well as arbitration. Clients span numerous industries both local and regional, including MNCs, SMEs, various listed companies, and high net worth individuals.

Requirements:
  • Must be a Singapore qualified lawyer.
  • NQ to 3 years PQE, with relevant experience in litigation in any area
  • Excellent communication, good drafting, research and advocacy skills
  • Have a minimum Second Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent.
  • Willingness to learn and work across a range of practice areas.
  • A good team player who can also work independently.
Associate (Commercial and Civil Disputes)

You are a driven individual who wants to hone your craft on challenging disputes. You will work with a team represent clients in commercial and civil litigation, and international arbitration cases. The team is led by lawyers who take a keen interest in mentoring and the development of younger lawyers.

Requirements:
  • Applicants should ideally have scored at a minimum Second Class (Upper) Honours with NUS, Cum Laude with the SMU or other equivalent class of honours in a law degree course.
  • Must be a Singapore qualified lawyer
  • NQ to 3 years PQE, preferably with relevant experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. 
  • Good drafting, communication, research, and advocacy skills. 
  • A good team player who can also work independently. 
Associate / Senior Associate (Civil Commercial, International, Private Client HNW & Family Disputes)

You will work with experienced directors and a team of lawyers who represent clients in civil disputes work with sub-specialities in international cross border corporate, commercial, trade, investment, construction, infrastructure and financial issues or private client and High Net Worth (HNW) individual and family disputes spanning the full suite of dispute resolution options, including negotiation, mediation and arbitration (both international and domestic) and civil court litigation. We act for both local and regional clients as well as those from major foreign markets including China, India, the ASEAN region, Europe and the USA, MNCs, SMEs as well as HNW Individuals who approach us for specialist dispute resolution services. The firm currently operates with flexible, hybrid working arrangements consistent with national and industrial pandemic control policies and approaches.

Requirements:
  • Applicants should ideally have scored at a minimum Second Class (Upper) Honours or other equivalent class of honours in a law degree course
  • 0-4 years PQE, preferably with relevant experience in civil, international, commercial and/or private client and family disputes. You will have the ability to indicate your preference to specialise in either sphere of legal work or to work across both areas
  • Critical thinking, willingness to learn and intrinsic motivation are essential requirements
  • Bi-lingual language ability, especially in both written and spoken English and Chinese, will be an advantage
Associate / Senior Associate (Commercial and Civil Disputes, Investigations and Business Crime)

You will work with a team of disputes lawyers to represent clients in commercial and civil litigation, arbitration, investigations and business crime cases. The team works often on high profile and challenging matters spanning a range of industries with MNCs, local listed companies and high-net worth individuals. You will develop career-long skills and experience as an all rounded disputes lawyer. The team believes in the importance of access to justice. The team leader takes a keen interest in mentoring and the development of younger lawyers.

Requirements:
  • Applicants should ideally have scored at a minimum Second Class (Upper) Honours with NUS, Cum Laude with the SMU or other equivalent class of honours in a law degree course
  • Must be a Singapore qualified lawyer
  • 2 to 6 years PQE, preferably with relevant experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. Investigations and business crime/criminal defence experience or training is a plus but not strictly necessary
  • Highly self-motivated and responsible individual(s)
  • A good team player who can also work independently
  • Good drafting, communication, research, and advocacy skills
Associate / Senior Associate (Commercial Dispute and Construction)

You will assist the directors with contentious commercial and construction matters. 

Requirements:
  • 1 to 6 years PQE with relevant working experience. Construction law experience or training is a plus.

Corporate & Finance

Associate / Senior Associate (M&A and Corporate)

You will be part of a dynamic team working on general corporate and M&A transactions, with opportunities to focus on specialised industries such as technology and health care and life sciences.

Requirements:
  • 1 to 6 years’ PQE Singapore-qualified lawyer preferred
  • Experience in M&A and/or corporate and commercial work essential
  • Experience in financial regulations, funds, intellectual property and/or technology matters are a bonus
  • Works well independently as well as in a team
  • Possesses positive attitude, initiative and drive
  • Excellent time and project management and communication skills
Associate / Senior Associate (Restructuring & Insolvency)

You will be part of our Corporate Restructuring & Workouts team, which handles matters involving debt restructuring and insolvency. This may include advising on debt restructuring transactions and other types of transactions being carried out in the context of insolvencies, and court work relating to debt restructuring and insolvency.

Requirements:
  • Must be a Singapore qualified lawyer
  • 1 to 4 years PQE
  • Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage: restructuring and insolvency, banking and finance, other transactional or corporate work, or litigation
  • Good drafting, communication, research and advocacy skills
  • A good team player who can also work independently
Senior Associate / Associate Director (Tax)

You will work on contentious and non-contentious tax matters for clients from across business sectors

Requirements:
  • 3 to 10 years PQE Singapore-qualified lawyer
  • Experience in tax work
  • Work well independently as well as in a team
  • Good research, drafting and communication skills
Associate / Senior Associate (TMT - Data Protection & Cybersecurity)

You will be part of dynamic team advising and assisting clients in Singapore and in the region on a range of data protection and cybersecurity matters, as well as other regulatory, corporate and commercial matters.

Requirements:
  • 2 to 6 years’ PQE, qualified in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction
  • ​Experience in data protection, cybersecurity, litigation, technology or related areas of practice
  • Relevant offshore experience will be considered
  • Strong interest in legal aspects of technology and/or use of technology to support legal and compliance work
  • Related qualifications / certifications in data protection, cybersecurity or IT will be an advantage, e.g. CIPM, CIPP
  • Works well independently as well as in a team
  • Possesses positive attitude, initiative and drive
  • Excellent time and project management and communication skills
Associate / Senior Associate (Blockchain & Digital Assets)

You will be part of a dynamic team, advising clients in Singapore and in the region on novel issues presented by the fast-moving and innovative blockchain industry. You can expect to work on a range of legal matters including fundraising, M&A, project structuring, and licensing and compliance requirements under the Securities and Futures Act and the Payment Services Act.

Requirements:
  • 2 to 6 years' PQE Singapore-qualified lawyer
  • Good grounding in general corporate law
  • Experience with transactional matters and/or financial regulatory matters (whether in practice or in-house)
  • Strong interest in cutting-edge technology
  • Possess initiative, drive and commercial acumen
  • Prior work experience and/or interaction with the Monetary Authority of Singapore is an advantage, but not necessary
Associate / Senior Associate / Associate Director (Real Estate)

You will assist the Real Estate Director to handle various legal matters relating to real estate acquisitions, sales and financing.

Requirements:
  • 2 to 7 years’ PQE Singapore-qualified lawyer preferred
  • Experience in handling various legal matters relating to real estate acquisitions, sales and financing preferred

You will be part of a dynamic team, advising clients in Singapore and in the region on novel issues presented by the fast-moving and innovative blockchain industry. As an industry-focused practice group, our practice cuts across multiple disciplines and you can expect to work on a range of legal matters including fundraising, M&A, project structuring, token launches, DAO structuring, licensing and regulatory advisory work. In response to the growing interest in and developments within the web3 space, the team is actively seeking to expand.

Requirements: 
  • NQ to 3 years' PQE Singapore-qualified lawyer
  • Good grounding in general corporate law and/or financial services regulations
  • Experience with transactional matters and/or financial regulatory matters (whether in practice or in-house)
  • Possess initiative, drive and commercial acumen
Senior Associate (Financial Services Regulatory)

You will be part of a dynamic team, advising clients in Singapore and in the region on novel financial regulatory issues. In line with our growth strategy, we are seeking a talented and motivated financial services regulations lawyer to join our expanding team and contribute to the regulatory arm of this practice group. You can expect to work with clients to navigate the intricate legal framework pertaining to securities and payments regulations, and play a pivotal advisory role on a range of matters including M&A and project structuring. In particular, you will be responsible for handling licensing applications and regulatory compliance related work.

Requirements: 
  • 4 to 6 years' PQE Singapore-qualified lawyer
  • Good grounding in financial services regulations
  • Experience with financial regulatory matters (whether in practice or in-house)
  • Possess initiative, drive and commercial acumen
  • Prior work experience and/or interaction with the Monetary Authority of Singapore is an advantage, but not necessary

Intellectual Property

Associate / Senior Associate 

You will assist in various aspects of intellectual property matters.

Requirements:

A minimum of 1-5 year’s PQE with relevant working experience in intellectual property which covers both contentious and non-contentious matters and advisory work on disputes, strategies, portfolio management and protection.
